At St. Peter’s, we are growing and God is moving. We invite you to join the mission. Whether it be on Sunday mornings, Lego Builders Club, Movie Night, or other aspects of our church life, there is a place for everyone.
Greeter Visiting a new church can be scary. We want to help everyone who enters St. Peter’s feel welcomed. The greeter(s) will welcome each person on Sundays and make sure they receive a bulletin.
Lector During each service, we hear lessons from Scripture. The Lector or Reader, reads the Old Testament and New Testament lessons to the people.
Altar Guild Each Sunday, we partake in the Eucharist or Communion. The elements used in this sacrament are prepared by those on the Altar Guild.
Chalice Bearer & Offering As part of communion, we receive wine or “the blood of Christ, the cup of salvation.” The chalice bearer would have the opportunity to serve this portion of communion to the people. This volunteer would also collect the offering during the service.
Acolyte This opportunity is an excellent way for children 6 & up to participate on Sunday mornings. They will carry the cross, assist Fr. Rob during communion, and help with lighting and distinguishing the candles.
Coffee Hour Assistant After the service, we gather for coffee and conversation. The coffee hour assistant provides the snacks for this portion of Sunday mornings.
Sub-Deacon The Sub-Deacon assists Fr. Rob during the Sunday service by processing, carrying the Gospel book out for the reading, and helping during communion.
Christian Formation Assistant As we continue to grow, help is needed with our youngest Christian Formation class. The CF assistant would help the Stepping Stones teacher during the class with various tasks.
Lego Builders Club Volunteer LBC continues to grow and helpers are needed to build with kids, prepare snack, and help with registration.
Movie Night Volunteer As Movie Night grows, volunteers are needed for set-up, clean-up, and to be available to help during the movie.
